Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: Earth
Event Time: 2022-10-14T08:12Z ( DSCOVR: PLASMAG )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
DSCOVR: PLASMAG
ACE: SWEPAM
ACE: MAG
Activity ID: 2022-10-14T08:12:00-IPS-001 (version 2)
Quality of ICME Signature: 2 (clear signatures)
Note: Contains smooth rotation in the magnetic field components as well as a subtle rise in the total magnetic field, solar wind speeds, temperature and densities since about 2022-10-13T19:00Z. With the field already enhanced to 10 nT around 2022-10-14T08:12Z and with densities fairly high (~25 particles/cc), a further enhancement of the magnetic field occurred to near 16 nT with a simultaneous rapid decline in temperature and density.
